Snow is crunchy and flat again. Very cold. Steam from my nepali-style chai is welcome.
I am reminded of a chilly night on a hard train bed from Moscow to Leningrad, and the steam from the Samovar kept by the train mistress - we all put sugar cubes in our mouths and drank tea through them...out of glasses with silver handles. Steam also evokes memories of my granny's eucalyptus steaming cures for a cold or sinus issue. And of course, the sauna my Finnish exchange student missed so...not to mention the sweatlodge passion my group of friends had in the 1990s.....
